GIU - Growing In Unity Gal Tuesday

I am featuring stamps from Unity Stamp Company on this blog each day this week.

Today I'm sharing a project using another beautiful Unity stamp set, Take Care of You. The daisy was my mom's favorite flower. I originally chose the stamp set because it featured a pretty daisy, but I haven't used the daisy itself yet.  This project features a sentiment from the set and the neat hexagon pattern that forms part of the daisy's background.

This particular card has a lot more embellishments than I typically use.  It has two different washi tapes, the cardboard dress form, metallic thread, black mesh fabric, a button and silk ribbon.

You know what I just realized about this card? It doesn't use the daisy that my mom would have loved, but its theme is sewing and she was so good at it! I didn't start stamping until after she passed away, so I often wonder if she would have joined me. She was very crafty, after all.

For me, this card is a terrific example of the versatility of many of Unity's stamp sets.  Sure, the set features a daisy, but there's so much more to enjoy!

Thanks so much for visiting today.  See you tomorrow. Happy Stamping!

This is wonderful! I bet your mom would have loved to stamp with you. As it is, this card (even without the daisy) is a sweet homage to her. Love all the wonderful elements you combined here. Vintage and pretty!!

Silly auto correct... I meant washi tape. ;) My phone sure doesn't like that word! Grins! Sorry to post again...
