Hi Friends!
Many have asked, "How can I help?" or, "What do I do when I find a baby squirrel?" I've found excellent resources: Henry's Baby Squirrel Guide and the Adult Squirrel Healthy Diet Guide.
Some items that would be helpful for rehabbers -- not necessarily in this order:
- Fox Valley Formula 32/40 - 2-4 weeks old
- Fox Valley Formula 20/50 - >4 weeks old
- 1 mL Slip-Tip syringes
- 3 mL Slip-Tip syringes
- Small and Medium Easy-Grip Nipples
- No-Auto-Shutoff Heating Pad
- Cozy Pocket
- Any flavor of the Squirrel Blocks Treats
- Old baby burp cloths. Used/stained is fine.
- Old cotton t-shirts. Used/stained is fine.
- Old fleece or flannel baby blankets. Used/stained is fine.
Plans for an easy Squirrel Nesting Box.
Aspen's Facebook Page. She is a non-releasable squirrel whose human family rescues and fosters babies. You can follow along with her antics.
Squirrels are not pets. The goal of any rehabber is to release the squirrel into the wild so they can live their sweet squirrelly lives outdoors.
